Circular Economy and Electronic Materials Recycling
The circular economy represents an alternative economic model that moves away from the traditional "produce, use, and dispose" approach. This module explores the principles of the circular economy, focusing on the importance of recycling electronic materials to reduce waste and protect the environment.

Learning Computer Recycling

Not all recovered components are reusable, and determining which parts are viable for reuse requires both visual inspection and functional testing. Participants will first inspect each component for physical damage, such as bent pins, burnt marks, or visible corrosion. After inspection, components like RAM, CPUs, and motherboards can be tested using a diagnostic bench to verify functionality. Storage drives should be connected to another computer or through an adapter to assess their health status using tools like CrystalDiskInfo. Multimeters are useful for checking power supply outputand ensuring the voltage levels are within safe limits. This process helps participants differentiate between components worth reusing and those that should be responsibly recycled.
